VETERAN Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, and Edo State MP Natasha Osawaru have welcomed their first child together—a baby boy.
Speculation about the birth began circulating earlier on Friday after Osawaru was seen at a hospital, leading to rumours that she was in labour.
The lawmaker later confirmed the news herself, posting on her official Facebook page that she and the singer had been “blessed with a baby boy.”
Her announcement promptly triggered a flood of congratulatory messages across social media.
The birth marks a new chapter in their much-publicised relationship.
2Baba and Osawaru made their union official earlier this year, following the singer’s separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, in January.
Their romance has remained in the public eye since 2Baba’s proposal on Valentine’s Eve, which was followed by family introductions and the performance of traditional rites.
In July, the couple held a low-key traditional wedding ceremony in Abuja, attended only by close family members.
