CP Ajao, a seasoned law enforcement officer with over 30 years of service, brings extensive experience in tactical operations, crime investigation, and intelligence-led policing. Born on 28 November 1968 in Boripe, Osun State, he joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1994 after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography Education from the University of Ilorin.
His policing career has seen him serve in various capacities across multiple commands, including positions in the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in Lagos, and the Special Fraud Unit at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja.
In preparation for his leadership roles, CP Ajao has undertaken several professional training courses, including Tactical Leadership Command, Community Policing Field Training, and an FBI-certified Scene of Crime Examination and Preservation course.
Upon assuming duty, CP Ajao reaffirmed his commitment to upholding law and order, ensuring the safety of residents, and strengthening police-community relations in line with the vision of the Inspector General of Police.
The FCT Police Command has urged residents to support and cooperate with the new Commissioner in his efforts to enhance security across the capital.
