Gunmen stormed lodges near the Total petrol station in Oko, Anambra State, on Thursday, June 19, resulting in multiple fatalities and kidnappings.
Students from the Federal Polytechnic Oko captured the attack on video from their lodge, showing the gunmen arriving in two cars and expressing fears for their lives.
The footage reviewed by Stonix News shows victims lying in blood, some dead and others wounded, but unable to receive medical help due to ongoing gunfire. A barbecue vendor was among those killed.

Unconfirmed reports suggest some lecturers may have been kidnapped.
The motive behind the attack is unclear, but speculation links it to a new checkpoint established near the petrol station by the Udo Ga Achi security outfit.

Tensions reportedly rose after the checkpoint was set up, in addition to existing ones nearby.
However, the connection between the checkpoint and the attack remains unclear, and the perpetrators have not been identified.
