FOR the umpteenth time, General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said God has not told him there’ll be elections come 2023 in Nigeria.
Delivering his message late Friday night at the ongoing November Holy Ghost Service at the 3×3 Auditorium, Redemption City, Shimawa, Ogun State, the revered cleric said he wouldn’t know why God hasn’t told him if there’d be election and who’ll emerge as president.
He said Nigeria seriously needed the prayer of mercy from Christians, calling on them to join him to fast and pray for seven days starting from November 26 to December 2, 2022.
“God must be merciful onto us. We must hold onto him for help.
“Do you know that up till now, Daddy hasn’t told me yet that there’ll be an election?
“I mean I as Adeboye, God has not told me there’ll be an election next year.
“Others may say God has told them. But as for me, he hasn’t. But whosoever comes to me for prayer, I’ll pray for them. Afterall it’s not me that’ll answer the prayer
“I’m not frightening you o. We only need to pray.
The octogenarian further observe with a pinch of salt the announcement by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) decision to redesign the Nigerian naira denominations.
“If you don’t know how to laugh in Nigeria now you’ll develop hypertension.
“Things seem to be getting funnier and funnier in our country.
“Ask for mercy. Our naira is not even worth the paper it’s printed on.
“While people are hungry, our bosses are thinking of how to make it more beautiful,” he noted, laughing.
