By LEADING microblogging platform, Twitter, has removed the verification tag attached to the account of the former Vice-president of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
This is coming few minutes after there was a change of baton between the regime of Muhammadu Buhari and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The special verification tag, prior to its removal, was designed for officials of government.
However, while Osinbajo’s tag has been removed, the one of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari(retd) has remained.
Twitter has not yet replied to inquiries by The PUNCH as to why the former vice-president’s verification tag was removed.
