A torrential downpour has reportedly cut into two a tarred road at Egbe Layout, off Sokoh Estate road, Warri, Delta State.
A video sighted by Stonix News revealed a high tension electric pole caught in the middle of the road cut off by the ravaging erosion.
A resident of the area, identified as Asuke Robinson, alerted Stonix News via WhatsApp on Saturday evening as regards the havoc done by the flood.
“This road has cut into two Egbe Layout of Sokoh Estate Road by a heavy downpour,” he alerted.
According to him, the entire area has been thrown into total blackout due to the devastating effect of the flood on the high tension pole.
Meanwhile, a voiceover of the video clip claimed that residents of the area are unable to access their homes.
He, therefore, called on both the Federal and state governments to swiftly come to the aid of residents of the estate.
