According to eyewitnesses, the protest has caused a major traffic gridlock for motorists plying the Bodija–Secretariat–Total Garden route, leaving commuters stranded for hours.

The demonstrators, carrying placards with inscriptions such as “Makinde, have mercy on us,” and “We are not against development, but review the setbacks,” and chanting solidarity songs, lamented the loss of their homes and properties without adequate compensation or relocation support.

Security operatives have been deployed to maintain order, and as of the time of filing this report, the protest remains peaceful.
