Rita Enemuru, Reporting

A team of 34 Lawyers, including a professor, has, on Monday, appeared in Court to defend the two suspects arrested over the killing of Deborah Samuel Yakubu in Sokoto last week.

According to legit.ng, the suspects, Bilyaminu Aliyu and Aminu Hukunci, were brought before a Sokoto Magistrates Court for their alleged participation in the gruesome murder of the 200 Level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education.

Miss Deborah Samuel was killed and burnt on Thursday May 12 for alleged blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad.

Though the suspects pleaded not guilty when the charges were read out, they were not granted bail.

The Police Prosecutor, Inspector Khalil Musa, however, asked to the court for more time to carry out more investigation into the case.
