As widely anticipated by Nigerians, the Lagos State Government White Paper on the report submitted a forthright by the ENDSARS JUDICIAL PANEL has described the report as concocted on assumptions, saying it is unreliable.
The White Paper was released Tuesday evening some hours after Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, featured in a live broadcast where he called on youths in the state to gear up for Peace Walk for healing across the state in December.
The call has, since, elicited avalanche of reactions from some of the notable ENDSARS youths including Falz and Mr Macaroni, who had jeeringly urged the governor to embark on the walk alone on the blood of youths killed at the Lekki Toll Gate on October 20, 2021.
However, highlights of the Lagos Government White Paper on the Lekki massacre report obtained by Stonix News on Tuesday, revealed that out of the 32 recommendations made by the JPI in its Report of 15th November 2021, government accepted 11, rejected one and accepted six with modifications.
Also, 14 of the recommendations fall outside the powers of the Lagos State Government and will be forwarded to the Federal Government for considerations.
The White Paper was made available to the public by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso in fulfilment of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s earlier promise on Tuesday.
