THE Ondo State Police Command has uncovered a harrowing case involving the abduction, sexual assault, and murder of two students from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), allegedly orchestrated by their own landlord.
The disturbing details were made public during a press briefing by the State Commissioner of Police, who highlighted several breakthroughs achieved by the Command in its ongoing efforts to tackle crime across the state.

The victims
According to police reports, the case involving the murdered students—25-year-old Abah John Friday and 19-year-old Okah Andrel Eloho—began as a missing persons report filed on 24 June 2025 by legal representatives of the victims’ families, G.O. Omoedu & Co.
The pair had been last seen on 20 June, leaving their residence in Akungba.

In response to the report, detectives from the Anti-Kidnapping Unit employed forensic tracking technology, which led them to Lagos.
There, an iPhone 14 Pro Max belonging to one of the victims was traced to Computer Village in Ikeja.
At the location, officers arrested 38-year-old Abdul Mohammed Mubarak, who confessed to having purchased the phone from a man identified as Ojo Michael.
Michael was subsequently apprehended in Aramoko-Ekiti, where he was found in possession of the victims’ Lexus RX 350.
Under interrogation, he disclosed the full extent of the crime, admitting that he and others had abducted the students on the orders of Mr Oladele Femi, the landlord of Mr Abah John.
During their captivity, N800,000 was withdrawn from the victims’ account.
Michael further confessed to having sexually assaulted the female victim. Upon realising she had recognised him, both victims were murdered in an attempt to conceal the perpetrators’ identities.
The bodies were disposed of at separate locations between Agbado and Ode-Ekiti.
Following Michael’s confession, the police arrested Mr Oladele Femi, who confirmed that he had masterminded the entire plot.
He also led officers to a bush near Ode-Ekiti, where the body of the female victim was recovered.
Efforts are ongoing to locate the remains of the male victim, believed to have been dumped in a river.
The case has been described by authorities as one of the most shocking and brutal in recent memory.
