THE Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has launched a full-scale investigation after a black Toyota Hilux vehicle assigned to the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), Nuhu Ribadu, was reportedly stolen during Juma’at prayers in Abuja.
According to reports, the official vehicle was parked at approximately 1:05 p.m. opposite the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) complex in Area 10 while the ONSA official attended prayers at a nearby mosque. Upon returning, the vehicle was nowhere to be found.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed details of the incident via his X (formerly Twitter) account, noting that the theft was promptly reported to the Garki Police Division at around 2:00 p.m., prompting an immediate police response.
In the wake of the incident, the FCT Police Command activated a city-wide stop-and-search operation, setting up multiple checkpoints and closely monitoring all entry and exit points within Abuja.
A spokesperson for the Command confirmed the incident and assured the public that efforts are ongoing to identify those responsible and recover the stolen vehicle.
The Command has since intensified its search and vowed to bring the culprits to justice.
