Story That Touches The Heart

How Police Inspector Collapsed, Died After Arsenal’s Dominant Victory Over Real Madrid

By Micheal Chukwuebuka

POLICE Inspector Stephen Enang collapsed and passed away shortly after watching Arsenal’s dominant 3–0 victory over Real Madrid on Tuesday night in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State.

Stonix News reliably gathered that the late Enang, originally from Ekori in the Yakurr Local Government Area of the state, was assigned to the Akim Police Division along IBB Way.

A close friend, who requested to remain anonymous, shared that Enang had been in high spirits during the match, celebrating Arsenal’s goals with immense joy at a viewing center on Abang-Asang Street.

The friend said: “He was in great spirits—healthy, happy, cheering every goal. Arsenal scored the first, second, and third goals, and he was overjoyed.

“But after the final whistle, when everyone started leaving, we noticed Stephen wasn’t getting up like the rest of us. That’s when we realised something was wrong.”

He suddenly collapsed in his seat and became unresponsive.

Despite being rushed to the Police Hospital in Akim, all attempts to resuscitate him were futile, and he was eventually declared dead.

Recall that goals from midfielder Declan Rice and makeshift striker, Merino were the deciders in Arsenal’s emphatic victory over Real Madrid at the Emirates Stadium in the Quarter Finals of the UEFA Champions League.
