Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting
GENERAL Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Sunday, narrated how the mission acquired its 800 acres of land as its Redemption Camp in Dallas, USA.
Speaking at RCCG National Headquarters, Ebute-Meta, Lagos, the Octogenarian said God had earlier spoken to a man in Dallas to buy a 114 acres of farmland that he didn’t need at the material time.
The man acquired the land and, years after, was sitting in a restaurant in Dallas when God spoke to him (the man) to behold a Nigerian man walking into the restaurant.
God, thereafter, told the man that the acres of land He had instructed him to buy years ago was meant for the Nigerian man who just walked into the restaurant.
The recipient of the land, according to Adeboye, is a spiritual son and missionary in RCCG who resides in Dallas.
He said the man eventually took the recipient to the land to possess it without paying a dime.
Adeboye said when he went there to view and thank God for the divine provision, he decided to remain in the piece of land and do a prayer vigil.
While thanking God for the provision all alone in the night, he said God spoke to him concerning a gigantic building by the side of the land that that would be his house.
He also said God told him, like Abraham, that he should look up and as far as he could see, he would possess.
He said he informed his spiritual children of what God told him the following day and he was told not to mention it loudly as the owner of the house could shoot him dead if he heard.
Two years after the encounter, Pastor Adeboye said the owner of the house put a notice for sale on the house and his children went to bargain for it.
They then told the owner that God had told Adeboye two years before then that the house would be his and the man complained that no wonder he had been restless for the past two years.
He then gave a nod and as of today, RCCG’s Redemption Camp in Dallas occupies to fewer than 800 acres of land to God’s glory.
The Ifewara-born cleric, who was preaching on the “Season of Wonders,” at the February Thanksgiving Service, said the wonders he just narrated was one of the proofs of God’s faithfulness to His promises.
According to him, after he began full-time ministry as General Overseer, he had collected his gratuity from his lecturing job at the University of Lagos and God told him to divide the money into three parts and further instructed him to hand each part over to a ministry which names he didn’t mention.
Thereafter, he said God told him that He would thenceforth be his Source, adding that today, people only see the glory of RCCG but unaware of the story behind it.
He enjoined those trusting God for wonders to come under the management of the God of Wonders in order to enjoy daily peace and wonders.
