DEATH has claimed one of the sons of the late Nigeria’s maximum ruler, General Sani Abacha.
Identified as Abdullahi, he reportedly passed in his sleep as announced by Gumsu Sani Abacha, his sister, via a tweet on Saturday.
According to the post, Abdullahi died in the early hours of Saturday March 4.
“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. I lost my younger brother, Abdullahi Sani Abacha,” she had tweeted, disclosing that her younger brother passed in his sleep.
“May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him jannatul firdous, Ameen. Please include him in your prayers,” she pleaded.
Father of the deceased was Nigeria’s military Head of State who seized power and ruled between 1993 and 1998 until he passed in his sleep on June 8,1996.
Stonix News reports that Abacha’s seizure of power in 1993 during the popular June 12 Presidential Election annulment logjam, was the last successful coup d’etat in the Nigerian military history.
