By THE Lagos State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr Adedotun Keshinro, has commended the Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for his unwavering efforts in tackling oil theft and vandalism across Nigeria.
Speaking at the presentation of the fourth-year compendium documenting the achievements of Dr Audi, Keshinro lauded the Corps’ proactive measures in safeguarding critical national assets.
“The NSCDC, under CG Audi, has saved the Federal Republic of Nigeria billions of naira, which would have been lost to oil theft and all forms of vandalism,” he stated.
The book presentation, held on Wednesday, 19th March 2025, at the NSCDC Lagos State Command Headquarters, was organised by People Security Monitor, a reputable media organisation. The Editor-in-Chief and CEO, Mr Isiaka Mustapha, highlighted the Corps’ milestones under Dr Audi’s leadership.
According to Mustapha, “The NSCDC has achieved unprecedented successes in combating pipeline vandalism, protecting telecommunication cables, power installations, transport facilities, and other critical infrastructure.” He also praised Dr Audi’s establishment of the Mining Marshal, describing it as a strategic initiative that has revitalised Nigeria’s mining and steel industry.
During the event, senior officers of the Lagos Command commended Mustapha for documenting the Corps’ achievements, recognising the publication as a valuable resource for future generations.
Keshinro further emphasised the impact of Dr Audi’s leadership on personnel welfare, citing the ongoing large-scale promotions within the Corps as a testament to his commitment to career development.
The event concluded with a collective acknowledgment of Dr Audi’s contributions to national security and economic stability.
