LAUTECH SUG Installs 20 Solar Streetlights

THE Students’ Union Government of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has installed 20 solar streetlights at Adenike Students’ Residential Area, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso.

The solar streetlights were installed by the SUG led by the President, Mr Anuoluwa Adeboye, in a bid to eradicate total darkness and curb insecurity in Adenike Students’ Residential Area. 

Stonix News reports that the Solar Streetlights were erected and installed from LAUTECH Adenike Gate down to the Adenike Second Transformer Junction.

Speaking on the laudable project, the SUG President, Mr Adeboye, stated that the installation of the solar streetlights was a project designed to curb insecurity by illuminating the students area at night for easy pedestrian movement.

He commended the efforts of the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Prof. Azeem Ige, who facilitated the installation of the solar streetlights in the area.
