HOUSE of Representatives candidate of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) for Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire Federal Constituency, Hon. Adeleke Oluwole Sunday Ojetunde, has called for the cancellation of the February 25 National Assembly election in the Constituency.
The NNPP candidate, in a statement made available to journalists on Saturday March 4, said his party’s name was missing in the ballot papers during voting.
Besides, the House of Representatives candidate said in the ballot papers, the logo of his party, NNPP, was blurred which contributed to party’s loss at the poll.
“The name of my party, NNPP, was missing on the ballot paper and this affected my results in the election.
“Most of our local people are semi-illiterates who have it in their mind to vote NNPP in the ballot paper, but the party logo was missing and many of our people could not vote,” he noted.
Hon. Ojetunde, who’s a philanthropist and pastor, therefore, called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to cancel the Saturday poll in the constituency on account of the missing and blurred logo of his party.
“As Reps candidate, I am calling for the cancellation of the election results in Ogbomoso North South and Oriire Federal Constituency by INEC,” he reiterated.
