THE Yoruba version of Nollywood has lost a high-flying movie actor, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, popularly known as Sisi Quadri.
His sudden passage has thrown the Nigerian entertainment industry and his fans into grief.
Sisi Quadri was widely celebrated for his remarkable performances, particularly in the Yoruba comedy genre.
His memorable role in the beloved movie “Seniyan Seranko,” which was released on December 4, 2004, endeared him to audiences across the nation.
The late actor was set to captivate audiences once again in the upcoming film “Anikulapo: The Return of Spectre,” which is scheduled for release in cinemas shortly.
His absence will undoubtedly be felt by his fellow cast members and fans alike.
Renowned for his exceptional jocular talent and his ability to deliver invectives with finesse, Sisi Quadri portrayed characters burdened with the responsibility of what late Fela Anikulapo would call “yabbis.”
His unique style and comic timing endeared him to audiences, making him a beloved figure in the Nigerian film industry.
While the cause of his death remains undisclosed, there are unconfirmed reports suggesting that he had been ill prior to his passing.

Sisi Quadri is happily married to Mrs Quadri Oyebamiji. He rarely shares his wife’s photos online but often shares photos of his sons.
Sisi Quadri, whose real name is Oyebamiji Tolani Quadri, was a native of Osun State and was born on December 26, 1979, to Mr and Mrs Oyebamiji.
He attended his primary and secondary school education in Ore, Ondo State, and moved back to Osun, his hometown to study Arabic and Quran because his father wanted him to be a Muslim cleric.
He later attended a fashion school where he learned fashion design and finished in 1999.
Due to his love for education, he bagged a Diploma certificate in Iree Polytechnic, Osun State.
In 2000, his father’s elder brother introduced him to his mentor,Toyin Olaiya who brought him into acting.
