THE Ondo State Government has announced Friday, 15th November 2024, as a work-free day for public servants.
This decision is in preparation for the upcoming governorship election set to take place on Saturday, 16th November.

According to a press release by the Ondo State Government, the day off will allow public servants to travel to their respective communities to participate in the election.
The declaration underscores the state’s commitment to ensuring a high voter turnout.
Permanent Secretary O. F. Ayodele issued the statement, advising all accounting officers to inform their staff about the work-free day.
This measure aims to make it easier for employees to fulfil their civic duties.
The government has emphasised the importance of this election and encouraged public servants to exercise their voting rights.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is expected to oversee the election, ensuring a fair and transparent process across the state.
