Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting
As promised, General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has relocated martyred Deborah’s parents and siblings to Port Harcourt.
On arrival, the man of God gifted the father, Samuel Yakubu, a car and a 14-flat estate as their new accommodation.
Speaking while welcoming the family, the philanthropist quipped: “In fulfillment of my earlier promise and in honour of the late Deborah Samuel, I, on behalf of the Omega Power Ministry (OPM) relocated and donated a 14-flat mini estate and a Corolla car, for Uber business, to her family in Port Harcourt.
“The estate was registered in their name immediately.
“In OPM, we practice Christ’s love and show same in practical terms.
“These are funded through the tithes and offerings of OPM members.
“May God take all glory and honour. Amen!”
Deborah was murdered a fortnight ago by overzealous Islamic fanatics in the premises of the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, over alleged blasphemy.
The 19-year-old had, in a voice message on their class WhatsApp group, kicked against unsolicited religious messages which drew the ire of her classmates who accused her of blasphemy.
The killing and cremation of Deborah has attracted a global uproar with a call for justice to avert future recurrence.
