President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Former President Goodluck Jonathan on winning the prestigious 2025 Sunhak Peace Founders’ Award.
This accolade recognizes Jonathan’s tireless efforts in promoting peace, harmony, and democracy in Africa and beyond.
According to Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Tinubu commends Jonathan’s consistent advocacy for peace and his patriotic endeavors, which have earned him global recognition.
The President noted that Jonathan’s award is a testament to his bold efforts in peace-building and democracy promotion.
Tinubu also recalls Jonathan’s historic acceptance of the 2015 presidential election results and his peaceful transfer of power to the opposition party, which significantly strengthened Nigeria’s democratic institutions.
The President celebrates this landmark achievement with Jonathan and expresses gratitude to the Sunhak Peace Prize Committee for recognizing individuals working towards a better world.
