Sheriff Mulade Congratulates Sheriff Oborevwori On Delta Guber Victory

DELTA-BORN development and environmental justice advocate Comrade Mulade Sheriff, has congratulated governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwerion, on his victory at the March 18 poll.

Chief Mulade, himself a governorhip aspirant ahead of the 2023 general elections, however, called on all contestants and candidates to accept the outcome of the governorship result.

According to the Gbaramatu chief, Oborevwori’s emergence strongly reflects the wishes of Deltans, while urging residents of the state to work with the governor-elect to achieve his MORE Agenda for Delta people.

He described Rt. Hon. Oborevwori as a man of simplicity with grass-roots and community-based knowledge for development.

Chief Mulade, who is the Ibe- sorimowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, urged other contestants to accept the result of the election.

He also charged the Governor-elect to run an all-inclusive government in order to sustain the existing peace in the state towards attracting an enviable development to the state, irrespective of ethnic, political and/or religious affiliations.

“It is imperative to state that the elections has come and gone, now is the time to build bridges of reconciliation of all aggrieved members and contestants in the State, and to focus on good governance for a better Delta,” he noted.

Stonix News reports that INEC had declared Mr Oborevwori winner after polling a total of 360,234 votes in 21 LGAs to beat his closest rival, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the APC, who scored 240,229 votes in four LGAs.
