PATIENCE Ozokwor, generally referred to as Mama G, was born on September 14, 1958.
She is popularly known for her “wicked” and “dramatic” roles in Nollywood movies.
The 61-year-old actress is unarguably one of the most celebrated veteran actresses in Nigeria.
HERE ARE A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE KNOWN ABOUT HER
1. Patience got married at the early age of 19.
2. She became a widow after losing her husband to a terminal diseases in 2000.
3. She has 3 biological children and 5 adopted children. Her eldest child is an Engineer and the last is a footballer who plays for Rangers International Football Club.
In an interview with Punch, she revealed that she had wanted to re-marry at some point after her husband’s death but her children prevented her.
IN HER WORDS:
“They are all grown now. They said if they were young, they wouldn’t have objected. Now that they are grown, they say they will be my husband.”
Patience Ozokwor revealed that she is a very soft person in real life and we should not be deceived by her movie roles:
“I am very soft-hearted and I cry easily. However, I believe in facing whatever is at hand squarely and doing a good job.
“Even if I will cry later, I could do that in my Closet.”
