A devastating attack on a train in Pakistan has left at least six military personnel dead and 450 people taken hostage by the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a militant group.
Stonix News reliably gathered that the group, which is fighting for independence, claimed responsibility for the attack, saying they killed 20 Pakistani military personnel and shot down a drone.
According to the BLA, they took 182 military and security personnel hostage but released most of the civilians on board the train.
However, Pakistani authorities have not confirmed the release of civilians.

The situation is dire, with the BLA threatening to kill all hostages if Pakistan’s military attempts a rescue.
The attack occurred in a mountainous area, just before a tunnel, making rescue efforts extremely challenging.
The militants blew up part of the track, forcing the train to stop, before boarding and taking control.
Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has strongly condemned the attack, vowing that the government will not give in to the demands of the militants, referring to them as “beasts who fire on innocent passengers.”
