Muhammed Abubakar, Reporting
Barely a month after, terrorists have released another fresh photos of the abducted Kaduna-bound train passengers after an earlier video released a fortnight ago.
The photos so released are three pieces, believed to have been released on Monday night.
Recall that the Kaduna-bound train was attacked on February 29, 2022, with scores either killed, injured or abducted by the rampaging terrorists.
Stonix News reports that the Chairman of the Abducted Passengers Forum had earlier hinted in Kaduna last week that the Federal Government was in communication with the terrorists.
It was, however, gathered that the talks between the duo have collapsed owning to irreconcilable differences.
It will be recalled that in the first video released, the terrorists had hinted that they were not after money, but an exchange of the abducted passengers with their commanders who they alleged are in the custody of the Federal Government.
Thus, it was gathered that the released photos was part of their strategy to draw sympathy from the public against the government.
A security expert, Abubakar Ahmed, also said that the reason for the released photos was to tell the world that the abducted passengers are alive and in good condition.
Meanwhile, family members of the abductees have expressed displeasure and despondency over the released photos.
A family member of one of the abducted passenger who gave his name as Yunusa Mohammed remarked that a relation was among those still with the terrorists.
“We are really disturbed when we saw her picture. How can we be happy? We just want her to be released with others unhurt,” a Yunusa Mohammed, a relation of one of the victims lamented.
