US TV Personality’s Husband Detained By ICE, Faces Deportation

By Micheal Chukwuebuka

SIMON Guobadia, the estranged husband of American TV personality, Porsha Williams, has been detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and is facing deportation.

Stonix News reports that Guobadia, a Nigerian-born businessman, is currently being held at Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia.

His detention is linked to President Donald Trump’s mass deportation plan, which was enacted through executive orders.

Guobadia’s immigration issues date back to 1982 when he migrated to the US and allegedly overstayed his visa.

He was declared deportable in 1985 and was arrested multiple times for fraud-related offenses, leading to his deportation to Nigeria in 1992.

However, he managed to return to the US just a month later.

In 2016, Guobadia applied for US citizenship but was denied due to his previous immigration status being “unlawfully granted.”

Despite filing several complaints and appeals, his efforts to become a naturalized citizen have been unsuccessful.

Guobadia’s detention comes amid his ongoing divorce battle with Porsha Williams, whom he married in November 2022.

Williams filed for divorce in February 2023, and the two have been embroiled in a legal battle ever since.

Recently, Williams scored a legal victory regarding their prenuptial agreement and was granted temporary sole possession of their marital residence.
