FOUNDER and Lead Pastor of Streams of Joy International, Pastor Jerry Eze, has once narrated how a lady suddenly stripped naked before him and what he did next.
The athletic, Umuahia-born fiery cleric, who clocks 41 tomorrow August 22, in an interview three years ago, said being as flesh and blood, his body was electrified, but, like Biblical Joseph, he fled.
Speaking on whether he had been tempted by a woman before, the handsome dude quipped: “Not now that I’m very visible; (it happened) many years ago. Who hasn’t been tempted before? A young lady stripped naked in front of me, but I fled.
“I must admit it did my body somehow, but I ran and that was what ended that episode, but right now, I don’t think with the structures I have right now, that a young woman can have the opportunity of seeing me alone talk less of stripping herself.”
Meanwhile, while fielding questions on a talk show on Sunday ahead of his birthday, Pastor Jerry, who’s married to Pastor Mrs Eno Eze, said falsehoods about him on social media hardly bug him anymore.
“I used to be worried about social media comments. There are people who lie, who cook up stories about me in order to get traffic,” he noted, adding that those who accused him of associating with sinners were ignorant of the essence of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
“I’m not afraid of ashamed of sinners who call me ‘pastor.’ We’re the ones God has called to go to sinners and change them. I’ll not be ashamed to identify with you.
“Everyone is a work in progress. You can’t stop me from moving or being with sinners,” he noted.
With many challenges of ministry on hand, Pastor was asked how members of his flock can make the work easy for him. The convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration (NSPPD), an online prayer sessions that holds from 7:00a.m (Nigerian Time) in week days requested prayer.
“Always pray for me. Wish me well. I want to see people become more,” he enthused while admonishing members to grow in spiritual things more in order to help spread the Gospel across the globe.
