Wife Dies In Lone Accident While Pursuing Husband With Concubine

A wife has met her untimely death while in frantic pursuit of her husband who was with a concubine in his car on Sunday.

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Maikano Hassan, confirmed the lone incident that killed the middle-aged woman in Calabar.

The Sector Commander said the incident was caused by overspeeding.

He said the accident occured on the Muritala Mohammed Road.

The woman, who was driving a Toyota Highlander on a top speed, skidded off the road and plunged into a ditch by the highway.

“Though the woman was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but she was pronounced dead minutes later due to the injury sustained from the incident,” the road safety boss noted.

Witnesses at the scene also reportedly affirmed that the woman was in hot chase of her husband who was allegedly with a “side chick” in his blue Toyota Highlander jeep when she lost control of her vehicle.

Identity of the late woman, her husband, and the concubine are yet undisclosed.
