NIGERIAN spiritual leader, Guru Maharaj Ji, has sparked online debate after claiming that a chicken once transformed into an aeroplane and brought him to Nigeria.
The revelation, Stonix News reports, emerged in a video clip shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @dammiedammie35, showing the spiritual leader speaking during a TikTok live session.

When asked why he no longer eats certain animals, Guru Maharaj Ji explained that he now follows a vegetarian diet. He said he avoids cows, chickens and fish because they “work for him.”
“I don’t eat cow, fish; they work for me. They go on errands worldwide. It’s when you don’t know them that you eat them,” he stated.
He went on to describe the unusual experience that led him to stop eating chicken:
“The day I started this journey, I saw a hen, it called my name ‘Akanji.’ I asked who it was, and it said we’re going to Nigeria. That’s how it transformed into an aeroplane. From then, I don’t touch chicken.”
The video has since gone viral, attracting a flood of reactions from Nigerians on social media. While some dismissed his claims as bizarre, others commented jokingly on his story.
One user, @IamMrBrain, wrote:
“This man is very powerful, he cannot die and the craziest part of it is that he goes to Mars and Jupiter every Sunday to see God and worship him. Don’t play with him. I don warn you guys oo.”
Another, @Allezamani, remarked:

Others reacted with humour, with @otos_world commenting:
“Yes he’s not lying, we were inside the HENPLANE together, na Turkey be pilot. We even bought gala and Pepsi inside traffic. Omoh that day was so hectic but thank God for mlife.”
The claims have reignited conversations about Guru Maharaj Ji’s long-standing reputation in Nigeria, where he has remained a controversial spiritual figure for decades.
