Rape: Lagos ‘Obidient’ Bishop Goes To Life Jail

AN ‘obidient,’ Lagos-based Bishop and founder of iReign Christian Ministry, Feyi Oluwafeyiropo Daniels, has bagged life jail having been found guilty of rape.

An Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence court gave the verdict on Friday in Lagos.

Stonix News reports that ahead of the 2023 polls, the bishop had trended on social media over prophecies as regards the outcome of the elections.

As a result, his fame rose after his controversial prediction that the now President Bola Tinubu would be arrested on the day of his inauguration even if he won.

He also predicted that the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who eventually came third in the election, would emerge president.

The Lagos trial judge, Rahman Oshodi, in his ruling on Friday, found the Lagos-based cleric guilty of rape and sexual assault of one of his female worshippers.

The Bishop was accused of sexually assaulting three of his church members at his residence in Lekki and also at his church premises in Ikeja.

The cleric, in May 2023, was remanded in court for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman at his Lekki residence.

The victim had told the court that the cleric had unsolicited sex with her during a prayer session amid heavenly tongues.

Born on May 6, the bishop is married to his heartthrob, Pastor Awele Feyi-Daniels and their marriage produced two boys.

He started Gnosis Business School now known as Evolve Business School in 2006, and in 2019, he founded the Kings Academy.

According to him, he had consulted with many international corporations such as Chevron, Intercontinental Bank, defunct Skye Bank, and the Edo State government.

Daniels is the founder of IReign Christian Ministry, and the ministry has worship centres across the globe.

A philanthropist and runner of a foundation, the BFD Foundation, the bishop partners with educational organizations to provide access to quality education and celebrate academic excellence among the younger generation.
