Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting
SIMON Ekpa, the exiled self-styled Prime Minister of Biafra Republic in Exile (BRGIE) on Tuesday issued a fresh sit-at-home dates in South East part of Nigeria to press home its demands.
In a statement signed by Ekpa and making the round on social, the renegade said the sit-at- home civil disobedience would start from 31 July 2023 to 14 August 2023 across the South East.
He gave reasons for the fresh directive which included the immediate and unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu, to prepare for Biafra’s self referendum, to further put the world on notice that Biafrans are taking their future into their own hands and to further ascertain the legitimacy of BRGIE.
Recall that just recently, a week-long sit-at-home was declared by Ekpa in the south South East, an order that has continued to dip the economic strength of the people well known and vast in commerce.
