By THE Delta State Police Command has announced the release of the official contact numbers of all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and Tactical Commanders across the state as part of efforts to enhance transparency and public trust in policing.
The move, approved by the Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda few days to Christmas, is aimed at giving residents direct access to police leadership to enable timely reporting of crimes, improved intelligence gathering and faster response to security issues.
The Command said the initiative reflects its commitment to community-oriented policing and stronger collaboration with the public in maintaining law and order in Delta State.
While encouraging citizens to utilise the published contacts for security-related concerns, the police warned against misuse of the lines through prank calls or false reports, stressing that such actions could undermine effective policing.
The Delta State Police Command reaffirmed its resolve to protect lives and property, noting that sustained peace and security can only be achieved through professionalism, proactive engagement and the cooperation of the public.
