The Federal road linking Iwo and Ibadan in Osun and Oyo states has become inaccessible to road users, Stonix News authoritatively gathered on Friday morning.
Eyewitnesses stuck in the deplorable road as of Friday morning said there’s a terribly bad, muddy portion that vehicles have sunk into, making it impossible for other road users to access the twin towns.
The witness, who’s a lecturer in one of the universities in the states, said one of the trailers stuck in the mud is laden with cement belonging to a popular company in the country.
Video footages and still photos sent to Stonix News revealed a traffic snarled up in both directions because of the muddy portion holding down articulated trucks.
She advised people intending to access Iwo or Ibadan through Iwo Road to seek alternative routes while also calling on relevant authorities to swiftly come to the aid of users of the Federal road.
