FORMER Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, while speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Executive Council meeting on Thursday, said Buhari’s administration was a clear demonstration that governance can be rooted in values and principles.
“I want to say that in the end, service to our country is perhaps the most important attribute of all.
“He served faithfully for many years. He proved that you can serve honestly, forthrightly, with transparency and integrity,” Osinbajo said.
He added that, “President Muhammadu Buhari will be remembered first as a convicted democrat.
“He contested and lost presidential elections three times, but instead of walking away, he sought justice through due process—attending every single court proceeding until the matter was resolved. He finally won in 2015.”
Osinbajo noted that, “He respected democracy and upheld the standards our party stands for.
“He wanted a country that was united, that believed in itself, and that was successful in every way.”
