FCT Police Refute Kidnap Claims in Parradang’s Death

THE Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has dismissed reports suggesting that retired Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang, was kidnapped and killed.

Authorities have clarified that his death occurred in a hotel room in Abuja under circumstances currently under investigation.

According to a police statement, signed by SP Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, Mr Parradang checked into Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction, on 3 March 2025 at around noon.

He was last seen with a female guest who visited him in his room and left at approximately 4:00 PM. Mr Parradang did not exit his room afterward.

Concerned for his wellbeing, a military officer who was his friend traced him to the hotel in the early hours of 4 March. Hotel staff and the officer found him deceased, seated in a chair inside his room.

Police from Durumi Station were alerted and secured the scene, gathering evidence and transferring his body to the National Hospital.

Investigations are ongoing, with efforts underway to locate the female guest.

The FCT Police Command has urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information, particularly false claims of kidnapping, which could cause unnecessary alarm.

They reaffirmed their commitment to a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of Mr Parradang’s death.
