The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has clarified the controversy surrounding the age of Nwamini David Ukpo the alleged 15-year-old kidney donor of daughter of former Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice.
NIS disclosed that the young donor, Nwamini David Ukpo, is actually 21 and not 15 as bandied around.
The Comptroller General of NIS, Isa Jere, made the clarification on Sunday.
Stonix News reported that Ekweremadu and his wife were arrested by The Metropolitan Police at the Heathrow Airports for alleged human trafficking and organ harvesting last Tuesday.
They were arraigned on Thursday at the Uxbridge Magistrates Court, which ordered their remand in police custody until July 7.
