The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in collaboration with Dare Adeboye Foundation has renovated and restored a new library for Sogunle Primary School, Ikeja, Lagos State.
The new library project, which was made possible by Living Seed Church (The Bridge) Youth Province 1 of the Church comprises books, furniture and computers.

The equipped facility
The computers were a notable addition because Sogunle Primary School has never had such, which led the students to visit another school for every computer learning period.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Pastor Leke Adeboye, Principal Executive Assistant to the General Overseer of RCCG, and Lead Pastor of Living Seed Church (The Bridge) emphasized the importance of education.
“Education is the most important thing.” Even Jesus came to educate the 12 disciples so that they could educate the rest of the world. When you educate a child, you’ve equipped them for life.
“You can take everything I have away from me, but you cannot take away what is inside my head,” he noted.
Also Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Ikeja Local Government Area, Hon. Mojeed Alabi Balogun, who was represented by his Education Secretary, expressed gratitude for the project and stressed the role of individual support for the development of the community.
The headmistress of the school, Mrs. Edith Ehirim, was incredibly grateful for the intervention.
She commended the leadership of the church for the choice of life-saving projects that will add more value to the learning of the children.
“This is the second CSR project carried out by The Redeemed Christian Church of God Living Seed Church (The Bridge) Youth Province 1.
“This is one of the CSR activities done by our parishes around nations in fulfillment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4): Quality Education,” she enthused.
