THE Federal Capital Territory Police Command has rescued a 25-year-old woman, Promise Eze, from a suspected armed robber and ritualist in Abuja.
The victim, who is from Ebonyi State, was found unconscious and tied to a chair with her mouth covered in plaster at a hotel in the Wuse area.

According to reports reaching Stonix News, the victim met the suspect online, where he posed as an oil company employee named Michael Prince.
They agreed to meet in Abuja after she declined his invitation to Delta State. However, the suspect allegedly used a dagger to threaten and subdue the victim, tying her hands and legs and taping her mouth shut before fleeing the scene with her two mobile phones.

The police have launched a manhunt for the suspect and are urging residents, especially young women, to exercise caution when meeting individuals they don’t know personally.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Disu, has condemned the act of violence and reassured the public of the police’s commitment to ensuring safety and security.
