A charity arm under the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), The Light Up Correctional Facilities (LUCF), has lightened up the faces of inmates with the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ in Delta, Bayelsa and Ogun states.
As a result, souls of hundreds of the inmates, who were hitherto hell-bound, were won onto Jesus Christ.
Stonix News ‘Body of Christ’ gathered that the charity arm visited the correctional centres to cater for the inmates materially and spiritually.
The group are also on a visit to correctional Centres in other states as the Reach 4 Christ movement in preparation for the 80th birthday of Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye targets eight million souls for God’s Kingdom.
Stonix News can report that the aim is to win the entire world for Christ and for the gospel to reach every nook and cranny of the earth.
LUCF did not only preach the gospel, but also presented food items, including plantain, garri, palm oil and rams to the correctional centres.
At Ijebu Ode prison, 43 souls were won for Christ, 43 persons at Sagamu Correctional Centre, 42 converts at Ibara Correctional Centre and 121 converts at Borstal Home and Ibara, Abeokuta prisons all in Ogun State.
Ogwashi Uku Correctional Centre and Sapele prisons in Delta State, were also visited, while the Correctional Centre in Yenagoa, Bayelsa will benefit from the give back programme on February 10.
In his remarks, the representative of the official of the Ijebu-Ode Correctional Centre, Mr D. A. Shuaib, expressed his gratitude on the gesture.
He commended the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on his compassion for inmates and the underprivileged in Nigeria.
“This assistance will no doubt go a long way. This is the best way to give back to humanity and RCCG has been on this for a very long time.
“We say a big thank you to Daddy GO and the entire team,” he added.
