Reason Nigerians Are Suffering And Way Out – Adeboye

Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting

GENERAL Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has identified the reason Nigerians are still suffering.

The revered cleric also proffered a lasting solution to bad leadership and suffering in the land.

Preaching at the RCCG National Headquarters, Ebute-Meta, Lagos, on Sunday, Daddy G.O, as he’s fondly called, urged Nigerians, especially Christians, to pray for their leaders.

Stonix News, which monitored the service in Warri, Delta State, reports that the theme of the October Thanksgiving Service was ‘Perfect Peace in the Land.’

According to him, rather than spending so much time criticising and condemning their leaders, Nigeria should intensify prayer as enjoined by the scriptures in 1Timothy 2:1-2.

Adeboye, while speaking on national peace, posited that since the individual makes up a nation peace in the life of an individual will automatically translate to peace in the nation.

He, therefore, prayed God to intervene in every storm in the lives of individuals in Nigeria so that a national peace can be engendered.

“Maybe we should spend more time praying for our leaders. There are some battles that only God can fight and win,” he admonished, adding that a single error from a leader could cost some grave damage to innocent souls while the homestead of the leaders are exempted.

“King David conducted an ill-advised census in 2Kings 24:1-15 against the will of God and about 70,000 souls were lost for his error while nobody died in his household,” the renowned man of God quipped.

He said as stated in Proverbs 29:2, followers must endure to pray for their leaders for life abundance, adding that according to Proverbs 21:1, God can turn the hearts of leaders to do good.

The octogenarian further averred that as costly as loaves of bread are in Nigeria, leaders in Aso Rock would not be affected.

“Why are we suffering? It’s because we’ve not prayed enough. The fault is ours, not our rulers’.

“Pray for the salvation of the people in authorities. God will continue to guide our leaders aright.

“They said a ticket is now N250, 000 flight to Abuja. They told me what happened.

“Let me tell you, it doesn’t matter how much a loaf of bread costs, there’ll be enough loaves in Aso Rock.

“No matter how many our national grid collapses, light will continue to be available in Aso Rock.

“So, if you love Nigeria, pray for your leaders,” Pastor Adeboye admonished.

He advised all worshippers across the world to give their lives to Jesus Christ, warning that storms of life could come anytime, and what guarantees victory is the potency of one’s ally.

“Anointing doesn’t drive away fear. You can have peace in the midst of storms if you know God is with you.

“Sooner or later, storm will come. It’s a matter of time. Facing death is the biggest storm of all.

“Will Jesus Christ be with you? With Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you can have peace, therefore come under his management,” he admonished.
