Soun of Ogbomoso buried

The Soun of Ogbomoso Oba Jimoh Oyewunmi, Ajagungbade III, who died early Sunday, has been buried according to Islamic rites.

Aged 95, the late monarch was interred on Sunday afternoon.

The Chief Imam of Ogbomoso, Tholiat Oluwasina Ayilara, conducted the burial rite at the palace of the Soun.

Some dignitaries at the interment included the Oyo State Deputy Governor, Rauf Olaniyan and the governor’s Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi.

Others were former governors Rashidi Ladoja and Adebayo Alao-Akala.
