NOLLYWOOD actress Regina Daniels has launched a scathing attack on the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, accusing him of dishonesty, incompetence, and tarnishing her family’s name after he publicly declared that she “needs help.”
In a worded response posted on her Facebook and Instagram accounts less than three hours ago, the actress said she found the AGN President’s remarks both disrespectful and unfounded.
She questioned his mental state and described his statement as “nonsense.”
She said, “ AGN President, respectfully, there must be something wrong with you sir to say I need help. You have no business spewing nonsense about my family or my mum who always sung your praises.”
Daniels, who said she had admired Rollas since childhood, accused him of failing the Guild and enriching himself instead of working for actors’ welfare during his eight years in office.
According to her, AGN members have seen no meaningful policies on actor protection or residuals under his leadership.
She stated, “I say you are a disgrace of a president who just visits one office to the other enriching his pocket in guise of catering to the wellbeing of actors. If not, tell me why you haven’t enforced anything on actors’ protection and residuals in eight years.”
She also challenged his claim that her family had misrepresented their contributions to the Guild, insisting that her family were “major sponsors” of the only notable AGN project under his watch—the recently opened Guild office.
In a more personal accusation, Daniels alleged that Rollas had brought women to her family home under questionable circumstances.
She suggested that her warning against such behaviour was the reason for his “bitterness.”
She said, “Well I’m not shocked because that’s how you get paid, bringing women to my family home several times to take swimming lessons. Actually, that’s what you’ve always done to the high-profile men you visit to lure them with women so your pocket can get bigger.”
Daniels further accused the AGN President of accepting “chicken change” to speak against her, despite her family contributing significantly to his prominence through her mother and her former husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
She said, “You were paid chicken change to speak nonsense about a child that benefited nothing under your administration, instead gave you the biggest honour you have through my ex-husband and mother.”
The actress also defended her mother, Rita Daniels, whose ambition to contest for AGN President Rollas criticised in his earlier statement.
Regina maintained that her mother had paid her dues in the industry and deserved support, not public ridicule.
“I’m still in awe that you would try to discredit my mother’s election and diminish her efforts after all she has done for you. For a movie industry… we need a beautiful female president with advanced male advisors to take us to any level in the society,” she added.
