Tinubu Support Group Celebrates Yakassai’s Appointment


THE Tinubu Support Group (TSG), Ogori Magongo, and its diaspora counterparts, have expressed heartfelt congratulations to Dr Umar Tanko Yakassai on his appointment as Director General of the Tinubu Support Group.

In a statement signed by Mr Moses Adedeji, Chairman of TSG Ogori Magongo, Kogi State, the group described the appointment as “timely” and a recognition of Dr Yakassai’s exceptional leadership and networking capabilities.

“We are thrilled by this appointment, which reflects Dr Yakassai’s unyielding patriotic commitment to the development of our great nation,” the statement read.

Highlighting Dr Yakassai’s extensive experience in health and public policy implementation, the group emphasised his potential to positively influence Nigeria’s governance.

“Your expertise will be an invaluable asset as you continue serving your fatherland,” the statement continued.

The group also used the opportunity to applaud President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for nominating Dr Yakassai, stating it as evidence of his ability to identify and entrust competent individuals.

“Your appointment affirms your value as a prized asset to our nation,” the statement said.

In addition to celebrating Dr Yakassai, the group congratulated President Tinubu for being named ThisDay’s Man of the Year, describing the recognition as well-deserved.

They praised his administration’s ongoing reforms, which they believe are crucial for Nigeria’s transformation.

The statement further acknowledged the leadership of Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Ododo and commended his unwavering support for both President Tinubu and the development of Kogi State.

TSG also lauded Alhaji Sanusi Abubakar Gamji, former Kogi State TSG Chairman, and High Chief Adesina Meka Sylvanus, APC leader in Ogori Magongo LGA, for their contributions to the party’s growth in the region.

Reaffirming their commitment, the group vowed to deliver Ogori Magongo to President Tinubu in the 2027 elections, as they successfully did in 2023.
