A 19-year-old was taken into custody after a crash at the end of a police chase injured an adult and child.
League City police said officers tried to stop Anthony Cavazos on the I-45 Gulf Freeway northbound on Tuesday night because the car he was driving had an expired registration.
According to police, Cavazos sped off but soon crashed into another car at the West Main Street intersection, injuring an adult and an 11-year-old child who were inside the second car.
According to our source, ABC13, Cavazos and the two injured bystanders were taken to local hospitals for medical treatment.
Investigators reportedly spotted an open container of alcohol inside Cavazos’ vehicle.
Cavazos was arrested and is charged with evading arrest and aggravated assault with a $150,000 total bond.
