2. Skin Colour Changes
Skin colour changes on the hands and other parts of the body can be caused by kidney problems. Toxins build up in the body when the kidneys do not function properly, according to the AADA. This can cause a variety of skin colours, such as an unhealthy pale colour, grayish, yellowish, or darkened skin. It is also possible to have thick skin with bumps and deep lines. Cysts and whitehead-like spots may form after scratching itchy skin for an extended period of time.
3. Itchy And Dry Skin
Dry, itchy skin is a common symptom of kidney disease. Pruritis is a mineral imbalance-related condition. Dry and itchy skin, according to the AADA, can be a sign of mineral and bone disease, which frequently occurs alongside advanced kidney disease. This happens when your kidneys can no longer keep the proper balance of minerals and nutrients in your blood.
