YET-TO-BE-IDENTIFIED gunmen have reportedly shot dead a staff of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Khalid Bichi, in Maitama, Abuja, Nigeria.
Security analyst, Zagazola Makama, made announcement of the tragic news on his X page, Saturday morning.
Khalid Bichi, a middle aged man, was reportedly trailed by his killers who shot at him many times after he went to get some victuals around Maitama at about 9:00p.m.
Zagazola Makama described Mr Bichi as a friend to some influential politicians.
He will be laid to rest by 1:30p.m today after a funeral prayer at the Abuja National Mosque, he added.
Reacting to the incident, ex presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad wrote:
“What is this thing I woke up to on the timeline? Oh Allah! @Khalid_Bichi was shot dead by unknown people at Maitama? I am totally heartbroken. May Allah forgive him and reward him with Jannah al-Firdaus. Ameen!!”
