By PA Joseph Omorodion Idemudia, popularly known as Akpale, King of Boys, has passed at age 90.
He passed peacefully on Friday July 12, 2024, at his residence in Benin City surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

Akpale, King of Boys, was born on October 16, 1934 to Pa Idemudia Akenbor, a renowned farmer, hunter and tradomedicine practitioner, and Madam Ayana Idemudia, a renowned business woman and farmer at Obobaifo village in Ovia South West Local Government Area in Edo State.
Mrs Betty Idialu, one of Pa Idemudia’s daughters who works at The Observer under the Edo State Ministry of Information, told Stonix News that preparations are on the way to announce the burial dates.
She said her dad passed after a brief illness related to old age.
