By THE Idemudia Akenbor family, on Tuesday, announced the burial dates for her patriarch, Pa Joseph Omorodion Idemudia, alias “Akpale, King of Boys,” who passed at the age of 90.
One of his daughters, Mrs Betty Idialu, made this known to Stonix News through an invitation card as well as a funeral post signed by Edwin Idemudia on behalf of the family.

Stonix News had previously reported that Pa Joseph Omorodion, popularly known as “Akpale, King of Boys,” passed away on Friday, 12 July 2024, at his residence in Benin City, surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

Funeral Arrangements:
Wednesday, 9 April 2025 – At 10:00 a.m., the body will leave God’s Care Mortuary, Ekewan Road, Benin, for a lying-in-state at his residence: 40 Ogida Avenue, Off Ekhator Street, Upper Siluko Road, Benin City (beside the former EcoBank). A wake-keep and family rites will take place at 9:00 p.m.
Thursday, 10 April 2025 – Interment at his residence.
Saturday, 12 April 2025 – Social dance and entertainment of guests at Stevik Event Centre, Adesuwa Road, off Sapele Road, Benin City (by Voice of Freedom Ministry).
Sunday, 13 April 2025 – At 12:00 noon, celebration and entertainment of guests at his residence, featuring a special performance by Inneh Theatre Troupe.
The family invites friends, relatives, and well-wishers to join in honouring the life and legacy of Pa Joseph Omorodion Idemudia.
Akpale, King of Boys, was born on 16 October 1934 to Pa Idemudia Akenbor, a renowned farmer, hunter, and traditional medicine practitioner, and Madam Ayana Idemudia, a respected businesswoman and farmer, at Obobaifo Village in Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State.
