Edo Pastor Sparks Frenzy, Hands Out Bras To ‘Indecently Dressed’ Female Worshippers

Benin City, the Edo State capital, was thrown into astonishment on Sunday as Evangelist Isaac Josiah, the fiery lead pastor of Reclaimers Ministry, took an unusual stand against what he described as “indecent dressing” in the house of God.

In a viral Facebook video from the September 14 service, the outspoken cleric was captured handing out bras, wrappers, pyjamas, and other modest garments to female congregants who, according to him, had come to church braless.

The spectacle, which left many worshippers stunned and others chuckling in disbelief, has since ignited a storm of debate online.

While some hailed the pastor for upholding moral standards, others accused him of turning the pulpit into a circus of modesty policing.

Unperturbed by the backlash, Evangelist Josiah declared that his mission was to “reclaim dignity in the church and restore decency among daughters of Zion,” insisting that the house of God must not be turned into “a fashion parade.”

The incident has since become the talk of Edo social circles, with many wondering if the Reclaimers Ministry is ushering in a new era of strict dress codes—or simply staging spectacles for social media clout.
