PRESIDENT of Club Nacional de Football, an Uruguayan side, has announced that the family of Juan Izquierdo, who died on the pitch during a game, will receive the player’s weekly salary until his contract expires in 2032.
The president also said when the contract expires in 2032, the club will still continue to give his family a sum of money.

Recall that the 27-year-old defender suffered a cardiac arrhythmia and collapsed during a game between Club Nacional de Football and San Paulo in the second leg of the Copa Libertadores round of 16.
Few days later, Juan was pronounced dead.

Stonix News learnt that few days ago, before the tragic incident, the defender welcomed a child with his wife.

Reacting to his death, Spanish giant and 15-time UEFA Champions League winners, Real Madrid, has released an official statement, expressing condolences to the his family:
“Real Madrid C. F., it’s President and Board of Directors deeply regret the death of Juan Izquierdo, player of the Nacional Football Club.
“Real Madrid wants to express condolences and affection to his family, his teammates and loved ones, to his club, to all the clubs of which he was part, to Uruguayan football and to all its fans.”
